Congrats! I never owned a car for more than 15 months before my first BMW. I kept it 7 years sold it breifly to a family memeber, and just recently bought it back!

I really like E36’s, I just find the lines very pleasing to the eye. My old house mate used to have a lovely metallic green 320i SE E36, was an early one (a J plate so the first year they were out), was in great condition, had some clear M3 front indicators and rear lights, the wheels of a much later high spec one and a nice (not loud and booming) aftermarket exhaust (can’t remember the make but it was cheaper than a genuine or even pattern part one), some git managed to steal it off our drive one night (with a boot full of expensive power tools as well), they must have pushed it off as starting it on the drive or even on the road outside woke me up if I was in bed We both had major sads until he bought a stunning E46 325i (it didn’t have a mark on it and had pretty much every option ticked on it including the strange not quite M-Sport body kit), still miss that old E36 though.

“Guibo”? Sounds like slang for gullible enough to buy an old BMW.

They just say its a U joint, so people don’t feel like they’re being made fun of...

I ordered it and the center bearing from MTC for 60 bucks, so I’m guessing it’s not the highest quality. The center bearing was particularly difficult to choose, because they ranged from 16 bucks to over 100.
